West Ipoh Span Expressway or WISE is the long-awaited, sixty-seven-kilometre (67 KM) highway alignment to be built in the state of Perak, spanning the route from Gopeng to Kuala Kangsar. From a bird’s-eye view, WISE will be nothing short of a strategic asset that guarantees positive social, environmental and economic impacts and countless opportunities in fostering our nation’s economic growth and social development, especially in the state of Perak. Ultimately, WISE will not be just another infrastructure project; it is a manifestation of a new Perak, solutions that are engineered to foster a harmonious social capital.

Sitting as the heart of intercity highways, Bertandang redefines travelling experience for road trippers and travellers, promising warmth and comfort with stunning facilities, services, and amenities.
WISE will be the first highway in Malaysia facilitated with a specially designed transportation hub for heavy vehicles. Upon its completion, this expressway service station comes with a designated rest area and service station to provide refueling, vehicular servicing, rest amenities, complementary ready-made food, and other services to motorists and truck drivers.
Objectively, WISE can be seen as a long-term solution, serves as an alternative route to disperse and improve traffic flow, especially along the southbound and northbound stretch towards the Menora Tunnel. This, in turn, contributes to the smooth flow of traffic on the North-South Expressway and enables the North-South Expressway to operate at an effective traffic capacity and better Level of Service. WISE can be seen as a form of a cost-effective solution that guarantees foreseeable expenses with minimal interference towards the surrounding ecosystem.
